Come, you nations, and adore the Lord.
For today a great light has come upon the earth."
Christmas Message from Archbishop Nolan ~ ‘May I wish you peace and joy this Christmas Season. A peace and joy that comes not from the world in which we live but from God. Every Christmas we are reminded that God is actively presentin our life. Each Christmas we are urged to recognise the love that God has for us. And it is knowing, in the depth of our heart, that we are valued and loved by God that gives us peace. Someone cares for us, and that someone is not just anyone, it is God. In this imperfect world we can’t avoid difficulties and problems. At Christmas we don’t cover these over with tinsel and fairy lights and pretend that all is well. But we do recognize that we do not face these challenges on our own, because God cares. We are valued and we are loved. We are not alone because God is with us. With my blessing for Christmas and New Year’.

The crib in the church and the two cribs in our grounds will remain up for 40 days through to Candlemas on 2nd February. Why not keep yours up in your home until then? It allows us to adore the new-born Christ for longer. If you’re out for a stroll, call in for a wee prayer before our outdoor cribs.
