WORLD DAY OF PRAYER – FRIDAY 1st MARCH 2024 The Service, this year, will take place in Killermont Church, Rannoch Drive, Bearsden G61 2HF from 9:30 to 10:00 with hospitality afterwards. The title is ‘I beg with you to bear with one another in love’ written by the Christian Women of Palestine. Everyone is welcome.
SCIAF COFFEE MORNING Many thanks to Veronica Maguire and the team who helped us to raise funds for SCIAF at the coffee morning last Sunday morning as part of our Caritas Award activities in the parish. Thanks also to everyone who came into the hall to enjoy the coffee morning and also bought some SCIAF Real Gifts. The Society for the Protection of Unborn Children (SPUC) Campaign Meeting - 7.30p.m. Tues 27 Feb in St Mary’s, Calton, to address the ever-increasing threats to the sanctity of life in Scotland, including the Pills by Post Policy. All are most welcome.
Volunteers are urgently needed to lead Children’s Liturgy of the Word at 10am Mass on Sundays. (resources, support, training, and lots of info provided including guidance regarding safeguarding requirements). Children's Liturgy is on during school term time, and you would be part of a rota. Campaign on Assisted Suicide. A group from St Margaret’s, concerned that many people may agree to a law, without knowing all the facts, has organised a conference in Clydebank Town Hall: The Future of Care in Scotland, Friday 15th March, 9.30-12.30 supported by politicians and the Catholic Parliamentary Office. We witness daily the atrocities, hardships and loss of life suffered by the people in that part of the world. Maybe we could take this opportunity to offer our prayers that peace will once again return to their land.

The Second Collection during Lent is taken up to support our sick and retired priests. On the 4th Sunday, the collection will be exclusively for SCIAF.

- First Confession - Sacrament of Reconciliation – Saturday 9th March, 10.00a.m – 11.00 a.m. Family members are encouraged, too, to take the opportunity to go to the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
- The date for First Holy Communion is Sunday 19th May at 12 Noon Mass.
Calling all Primary Three pupils who will be celebrating First Confession (Sacrament of Reconciliation) during Lent. To help them grow on their journey of faith preparing for this great Sacrament of God's healing love, there will be an SAS gathering on Sunday 3rd March from 2p.m. until 4p.m. in the Upper Hall. It is important that all the pupils attend this preparation.

The Church is open until 5p.m. Monday to Saturday. Call in and enjoy the peace and quiet and take time to sit in the stillness in the silence of God.
