An Appeal to all artists and aspiring artists in St Andrew’s. You are invited to create a piece of art (tapestry, installation, photograph, pottery etc) in response to part of the Holy Week story. It could be a scene from the scriptures, or one of the Stations of the Cross. The choice is yours. Your piece of art will be part of an exhibition which will be mounted in St Andrew’s on Monday of Holy Week, and thereafter in New Kilpatrick Church until Easter Monday. This is a good opportunity particularly for those in the primary and secondary schools. Organised by the Association of Bearsden Churches. Speak to Fr Mackle if you are interested in taking part.

January’s Coffee Morning Many, many thanks to everyone for all the wonderful donations of home baking we received for January's coffee morning. It was amazing and hugely appreciated given the large turnout. Also, many thanks to the helpers and to all who attended, for your support. Veronica and David Maguire
Calling all home bakers !! We are looking to set up a 'bank' of home bakers who might be willing to do some simple baking e.g. Scones/a fruit Loaf/ cup cakes, for each or any of our coffee mornings, even baking one item for one coffee morning would be a great help. It's not a huge commitment as the coffee mornings are usually on the third Sunday of every month and there are no coffee mornings in May or July. If you are keen on baking, then please offer your help and contact Veronica Maguire :- [email protected] or 07884468212
Volunteers wanted. We are looking for more volunteers to help with the monthly coffee mornings. We are hoping to have enough to ensure that you would only be on duty at one coffee morning per year. If you are willing to help, please contact Veronica Maguire :- [email protected] or 07884468212
Thank you. On behalf of the White Lily Fund Charity, I'd like to thank the Parish for the wonderful donation of £200 you gave us from January's Coffee Morning. It is very much appreciated. Angela Bruno, President.
Holocaust Memorial Day The 27th of January commemorates the liberation of Auswitz-Birkenau, the largest Nazi death camp. This brought to an end one of the darkest periods in human history when the Nazi state tried to eliminate all Jews, gypsies and homosexuals, amongst others. More recent genocides in Cambodia, Rwanda, Bosnia and Darfur remind us of the need to keep the lessons of the past in our hearts. Genocide does not just take place on its own, it’s a steady process which can begin if discrimination, racism and hatred are not checked and prevented. - See more at here.
