St Andrew’s Feast Day Celebrations – this Thursday 10am Mass followed with free Teas / coffees, sandwiches and St Andrew’s feast day cakes served in the upper hall.All are invited. Mass for the school’s feast day will be celebrated in St Andrew’s Primary at 2pm.
 
Annual SPUC White Flower Appeal at all Masses this weekend. The second collection will be taken up to help keep SPUC's vital pro-life work going.
 
Golden Jubilee Mass of Thanksgiving will be celebrated next Sunday 3rd December at 10.30am, followed by a buffet in the upper hall. Archbishop Tartaglia will be the principal celebrant. Everyone’s invited. Please come along and join in the celebration.  Remember, there will be no 10am or noon Masses on the 3rd Dec.
 
St Andrew’s Golden Jubilee Celebration Music and Quiz Night – tonight,  Saturday 25 November 7.30pm All tickets are sold out. Should be a great night.
 
Soup Run Christmas Gift Appeal - The Christmas Soup Run will take place on Friday the 8th December. We will take warm drinks and mince pies.We would be delighted to receive any donations.Gloves, hats, scarfs, socks and underwear are always appreciated as are toiletries.It is very helpful if these are wrapped and details of the contents are on an attached card or tag.These can be left in the Church porch. Thank you very much for your support at this time and throughout the year.If you have any questions or wish to join us for the soup run now or at any time please contact Phyllis Littlejohn on 0141 570 1343.
 
A Huge Thank You To Everyone who came along and supported this year’s Christmas Fair last Sunday.Sincere thanks also to Veronica Maguire and the fabulous team who helped with serving the teas and coffees, to the providers of the home baking, to those who helped us set up and put away all of the tables and chairs and to everyone who helped us serve in the stall – we are extremely grateful to you all for your assistance.We are delighted to tell you that £262.00 was raised for “The White Lily Fund” from the sale of teas, coffees and homebaking. Couple of volunteers still needed please to collect shoebox donations from Bearsden Academy after 10am Mass on Monday 4th December. Please speak to Fr Mackle, if you are free assist. We are very grateful to the pupils of Bearsden Academy and Mr McKeown who are supporting, once again this year, our Soup-run’s Christmas Shoebox Appeal for the homeless.
 
Primary 7 parents - The Piety Stall has a selection of books about the lives of the Saints on sale which may be helpful with preparation for Confirmation.
 
Advent Youth Mass – 16th December - 6pm Vigil. All the young people of our parish cluster of St Benedict’s, St Joseph’s and St Andrew’s are invited to come along to this Mass in St Andrew’s. It will be followed with pizza in the hall, and then a short Nightfever of quiet time and prayer before the Blessed Sacrament in candlelight with some uplifting music, and be finished by 8.30pm.  If you would like to volunteer  to help at the Mass as a passkeeper, server or with music or the offertory and bidding prayers, please let Fr Mackle know.
 
Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament – each Saturday from 10.30am until 12.30pm. Please consider coming to spend some time in adoration and prayer each Saturday.
 
Bearsden Christmas Tree Switch-on. Friday 1st December 5pm. Food and Carol Singing. All are most welcome. St Andrew’s, Mosshead and Bearsden Primaries choirs and their families will gather in the Jubilee Garden for the Switch on.

St Andrew’s Primary Christmas Fayre 1st December 3pm - 6pm Come along and join us for a hot drink and a mince pie, browse our Christmas stalls and visit Santa’s Grotto. Admission : Adult £2 ( includes tea/coffee and mince pie)  Child 50p (includes juice and a biscuit )
 
Piety Stall rota We are still short of volunteers, particularly after the Vigil Mass.If you could spare 15 minutes after Mass and are aged over 16, we would really appreciate your help.The rota sheet for December is now on the piety stall door. Parents Meetings – for First Confession, 11th January 2018 at 7pm. For First Holy Communion, 18th January 2018 at 7pm. Both meetings in the upper hall. First Holy Communion dates – Sundays 13th and 20th  May 2018 at 12noon Mass.
 
Confirmation preparation meeting - Tuesday, 16th January 2018 at 7pm in St Joseph's for parents and sponsors. On the same evening and at the same time in St Joseph’s, catechists of the two parishes will gather with the P7s to lead them in preparing for Confirmation.
 
Safeguarding Training.Volunteerswho work in the parish with children and/or vulnerable adults, who haven't previously attended training, are asked tothe following training session on 8th December 10.15am - 12.15pmin St Aloysius’, Garnethill. To, please contact[email protected]tel226 5898.

The Legion of Mary - new members always welcome. Meets on Mondays at 4pm in the Hut. The Legion, over the course of the next few months, will be visiting this year’s First Holy Communion families. Divine Mercy Novena is prayed weekdays after morning Mass in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel. All most welcome.
 
Your donations to Drumchapel Foodbank will be gratefully received; non-perishable goods such as cans, rice, pasta toilet rolls, nappies etc are much needed and delivered to the Foodbank every Monday. Thank you for your help.
