A very warm welcome to NET Ministry.  It’s great having them back with us.  They are a group of enthusiastic young people from the USA who will be leading today’s Youth Retreat for P6, P7 & S1 of our parish and St Joseph’s. 10am Mass until 2pm. Lunch will be provided for all. 
 
Soup run –this Friday 1stFebruary. Donations of soup, sandwiches, soft fruit etc can be brought to the lower hall between 6.30 and 7pm. Volunteers needed. If you are willing to help, please contact 0141 942 4775
 
Peregrinatio Pro Christo "Pilgrimage for Christ"- August 24th– 31st2019.  We had a good response to last weekend’s appeal for host homes. Many thanks, but we are still looking for some more volunteers for host homes. If you can help, please contact 942 4635 / [email protected]  Contributions for the cost of the Pilgrimage for Christ will always be gratefully received. Many thanks for the donation handed in of £300.
 
Just a reminder P4 Parentshave a First Holy Communion meeting in St Nicholas’ Primary this Thursday January 31 at 7pm.

Adult Faith Formation -Catholicism   Considering doing something different for Lent?  Then why not come along to a series of DVD presentations which will take place in the Upper Hall.  Starting on Thursday 7thMarch 2019 and running for 10 weeks the Adult Faith Formation Group will be showing Catholicism by Bishop Robert Barron.  
Catholicism explores the truth, goodness and beauty of our Catholic Faith and has received worldwide plaudits over the years since its release and is still considered essential viewing for Catholics who would like to increase their understanding of our faith.   
Each session will commence at 7 o’clock with a viewing of a DVD accompanied by tea/coffee. Each DVD lasts about 55 minutes and will be followed by a short discussion. The evening will end no later than 8:30pm.
 
17th February - Coffee Morning   Please come along and join us on Sunday 17th February after 10 am Mass in the upper hall for tea, coffee and some delicious home baking. Next  month’s coffee morning will be in aid of a charity based in the Diocese of Motherwell, Project Gambia. Project Gambia support a school of Deaf children in one of Africa’s poorest countries, St. John’s School for the Deaf. A volunteer from the Charity will be at the coffee morning. Calling all Home Bakers! Some of our bakers have retired, and we are looking for bakers and helpers for our monthly charity coffee mornings. Contact Veronica Maguire :[email protected]   With enough volunteers you would be on duty only once or twice per year.

Burns Day Assembly -Due to a bereavement within the school community, the Burns Day Assembly, which had been scheduled for 25th January, has been rearranged for Friday 8th February at 1.45pm. Senior Citizens of St Andrew’s and St Joseph’s are most welcome to attend.
 
Archdiocese of Glasgow Vocations are holding discernment evenings of catechesis, adoration and fellowship at Turnbull Hall, Southpark Terrace, Glasgow, G12 8LG.next evening will take place on 8 February at 7.00pm.For further details please contact Father Ross Campbell [email protected] telephone Father Campbell on 0141 339 4315.

Gospel Reflection Session - Monday 4th February after the 10am Mass in the Upper Hall.The session will reflect on the Gospel Reading for Sunday 10th February. If you can, please join us for tea/coffee and a reflective and enjoyable discussion.
 
Volunteers needed.The Thursday Bowlers are looking for some help. It would only take 10 minutes (around 4pm). It’s to assist with rolling up the bowling carpets and lifting them on to the trolley. If you’ve got 10 minutes and looking for a wee bit of exercise, please call David on 942 6491.
 
AGAP Reel Kids Parents & Tots Cinema Club. Meets on 2nd Friday of every month at 11am in St Mungo’s Retreat, 52 Parson St, Glasgow, G4 0RX. Next screening: Friday 8th Feb and the film is “The Lion King” (1994).For parents with young children to enjoy a film with their littles ones and chat afterwards. Our Parish Library has a very extensive range of books and DVDs covering a wide variety of religious topics. We would like to encourage you to have a look at the books and DVDs.
 
The church is openuntil 4.45pm. Call in and enjoy the peace and quiet, and take time to sit in the stillness in the silence of God. 

Tea is served in the hut after daily Mass. All most welcome.
 
Drumchapel Foodbank  All donations gratefully received are delivered every Monday to the Foodbank.

Church Halls. The church halls are used for a huge range of activities.
For the New Year, why not make one of your Resolutions to be to support a local business or charity and the church through taking part in one or more of these activities.

  • various fitness, Pilates, callanetics and dance classes for all ages and abilities

  • adult, prenatal and mother & baby yoga classes 
  • and toddlers and pre-school clubs.
