Welcome to Jackie and Geoff Harrison who were received into the Catholic Church at the Easter Vigil.    Jackie – Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist.                      Geoff – Confirmation and Eucharist. Keep them in your prayers this Easter and beyond. Joyful congratulations and all good wishes, Jackie and Geoff, from all in St Andrew’s.
 
Today at the 10am Mass, the children will ring their bells during the Gloria to celebrate Easter.
 
Monsignor Ryan, Fr Mackle, and Deacon Tommy wish you a very Happy Easter.
 
Youth Committee’s next meeting this Tues 29th March at 7pm in the chapel-house. 
 
Youth Mass Sat 23rd April 6pm – this vigil Mass is especially for all our young people aged 11+. Meet in the upper hall at 5.30pm before Mass & then come along for World Youth Day talk, pizza & bingo afterwards! Finish 8.30pm. If anyone would like to be involved in the Mass ministries, eg. as a reader, pass keeper, server, offertory or with the music, give your names to Fr. Mackle.
 
Happy Birthday, Gillian! Gillian Murray welcomes everyone to join her celebration of her 50th birthday. Mass next Sunday 3rd April at 12noon followed by tea / coffee / cake in the upper hall. Please come in and join the party. Have a great day, Gillian.
 
For young people, led by young people. An evening of prayer, adoration, live music, testimonies and reconciliation this Friday, 1st April at St Andrew’s Cathedral at 7pm.
 
Divine Mercy Sunday – 3rd April.  St Patrick’s, Dumbarton. Confessions at 2.30pm. Mass at 3pm followed by refreshments in Benview. All most welcome.

Photos of the Cluster Mass are now here on our parish website. Many thanks to all who attended. Arrangements to be made soon regarding the cluster social event in June for St Joseph’s, St Benedict’s, St Laurence’s and St Andrew’s.

St Andrews Squad (SAS), Sunday 8th May, for all Primary 4 children in the parish celebrating First Holy Communion this May. Please come along to the Upper Hall from 9am till 9.45am on Sunday 8th May. If you require any further information, please contact Margaret Hendry on 563 9993 Thank you.
 
St. Andrew's Whist Drive will recommence at 7:30pm on Mon 28th March (Easter Monday) in the Lower Hall. Everyone is welcome regardless of ability. Someone will be on hand to help if you are a beginner. It is, essentially, a social night. £3 includes admission, raffle ticket and tea/coffee. Come along for a great night. New Gift Aid Envelopes - 2016/2017 - Parishioners who use the Envelope system for Gift Aided donations please pick up your new book from the table at the back of the Church. The new envelopes should be used from early April.  If you are a taxpayer and would like to sign up to make donations via Gift Aid, please speak with one of the team or enter your name and address on the sheet on the table.  Finally, HMRC refund last year was about £15000 - many thanks to you all  in helping to achieve this amount.   Brian Donnelly  942-6085.   St A Finance & Fabric Team.

Drumchapel Foodbank – after the closure of Maryhill Foodbank, we have now made contact with Drumchapel Foodbank, which is situated in our parish cluster area. We made our first delivery there on Monday, 21st March. We had a detailed discussion with the manager and were very impressed with the organisation and work carried out, which meets a great need in that area. So our work will continue – donations of non perishable goods eg cans, rice, pasta,sauces, toilet rolls, nappies etc will be gratefully received. Items are collected from the church porch every Monday morning. Thank you for your help.

Archdiocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes - Please see the poster on the notice board about Glasgow Lourdes Hospitalite if you are interested in joining the annual Lourdes Pilgrimage taking place from 15th—22nd July.
 
Support in bereavement Group in the Parish and is willing to help anyone seeking assistance. If you have suffered a bereavement (not necessarily recently) and feel you could benefit from talking to someone about it, please speak to Father Mackle or Monsignor Ryan.

Great website. Lots of important information and easy to navigate. The short text with pictures gives a feeling of connecting to a vibrant community.
