SVDP Christmas Appeal—St. Andrews' SVDP will soon launch their Christmas Appeal. 1st Sunday of Advent. Last Year thanks to your wonderful generosity more than £2000 was raised and all of this went to where we felt it was best directed; needy families locally; toys for children of poor families in Govan. Most went to those families, including very grateful asylum seekers, identified by our friends in St. Laurence's SVDP in Drumchapel. As well as all who helped, we are particularly grateful to Kay Dick of the Padre Pio Prayer Group and other individual parishioners who responded so well, and in some cases, in a very substantial manner. Thank you in anticipation.
Many Thanks—to everyone who came along and supported this year's Christmas Fair. Sincere thanks also to the providers of the home baking, those who helped with serving the teas and coffees and everyone who helped us serve in the stall. The proceeds from the sale of teas, coffees and home baking £130.35 was raised for the National Autistic Society.
