Parish Retreat - Sunday 4th October.
12noon Mass followed by a lunch break (bring a packed lunch) Tea and coffee will be provided.
1.45 until 4.00pm – Theme - “Abiding Presence.” The afternoon session will be led by a team of experienced and trained lay-people organised by the Congregation of the Blessed Sacrament and under the guidance of a priest-director, Fr. Dowling. The team will include a number of members aged 18-25.
4.00pm-Prayers and time for reflection
4.30pm-Benediction
All members of the Parish are welcome and invited to enjoy a prayerful and uplifting time together. Please indicate your interest on the sign up sheet available in the Porch as soon as possible.
Youth Mass and Pizza – 6pm Vigil on 24th Oct for young people aged 12 – 16. If you are in this age range, please come along. Mass will be followed with a short retreat and will finish with pizza in the hall. If anyone would like to be involved in the Mass ministries, eg. reading, please give your names to Fr. Mackle.
Altar Servers. Any young member of the Parish (who has made his/her First Holy Communion) who would like to become an Altar Server is invited to contact Chris Sanders (942 7519) or Fr. Mackle, who will gladly take your details. Training sessions are due to commence soon.

Primary Three Families - The Sacrament of Penance (First Confession) in Lent 2016, and First Holy Communion in May 2017. Parents intending to present children, who are in primary three, for these sacraments, are required to complete an application/enrolment form available in the porch and return it by 11th October.
Mass of Commitment for Primary Three families will be at the 10am on Sunday 25th October.

A huge thank you to all who baked, helped and came along to September's coffee morning. We raised the amazing sum of £330 for SCIAF'S Syrian Refugee Emergency Appeal. Think that's a record amount for the coffee morning. Well done! Veronica and David Maguire.
White Lily Ladies’ Dinner 2015 - I am pleased to announce that, due to popular demand, our next ' Ladies' Fabulous Fun Night ' will be held on Friday 13th November 2015 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. Bishop John Keenan, Bishop of Paisley, will give a talk on the October 2015 Synod on The Vocation and Mission of the Family in the Church and Contemporary World in the Upper Hall at 7:00pm on Thursday 29th October 2015. Bishop John's talk, which is part of our parish's Adult Faith Formation programme, will begin with tea and coffee and there will be an opportunity for questions and discussion afterwards.
AGAP Film and Faith Club meets 7pm on Thurs 1st Oct at St Michael’s Hall, 1350 Gallowgate. This month’s film - “Calvary” (2014, Cert. 15). New members welcome. Totally free! Big screen and speakers. Tea/coffee & Chat.
Scottish Churches Anti-human Trafficking Conference - Saturday 17th October, 9.30 - 4 pm in St George's Tron Church, Buchanan Street. At the conference will be Aidan McQuade, who is Director of Slavery International, and delegates from Africa, Asia, the Caribbean and Europe. It will be a great opportunity to hear from international speakers on this important issue.

It can be a lonely job looking after someone and it might be nice to get together once a month for a chat and to support each other.
