Feast of the Baptism of Our Lord. We look forward to welcoming all families who, over the past year or two have had a celebration of the Sacrament of Baptism, joining us at the 10am Mass on 11th January for this Feast. Teas / coffees will be served in the hall after Mass.

ABC Carol Singing – A very large ‘thank you’ to all those who took part in the Carol Singing at ASDA last Saturday on behalf of St Andrew’s Church. St Andrew’s was represented by both adults & children from our children’s choir. The magnificent sum of £745.82 was raised. This will be split between Glasgow City Mission and Maryhill Food Bank.
Nominations for Parish Pastoral Council. Pick up a form from the porch. Members are appointed to serve a three year term and membership is open to active parishioners over the age of 16. We are particularly looking for parishioners who would represent, on the PPC, the youth of the parish. Please return nomination form by Sunday, 18th January 2015. The Council is a planning body of parishioners which fosters the full participation of the entire parish in the life and mission of the Church as lived out in St. Andrew’s Parish. In consultation with the Parish Priest, the PPC actively listens to and identifies the needs and concerns of parishioners and helps develop a plan to respond to those needs.
A very sincere thank you—to those who generously give of their time serving in the piety stall and to those who patronise it. The fantastic amount of £1000 profit was raised during 2014, which is a great boost to parish funds. £200 increase in profits from the previous year.

Learn about our patron St Mungo, his mother St Enoch and the story of the ring. Rev Dr Whiteley, Minister, Glasgow Cathedral and Archbishop Emeritus Mario Conti will read a portion of the text in Latin and English. St Mungo Singers and Children's Singing Studio of the Russian Orthodox School will present songs to celebrate the birthday of the city of Glasgow.
