Very many thanks to all those who worked so hard in so many ways preparing the church and the Masses for Christmas Day and for this Holy Season. All the musical, liturgical and decorative preparations, and people’s involvement in various ministries are greatly appreciated. “Christ has been born for us, come let us adore Him”

P3 Parents’ Meeting at 7.30pm on Thursday, 16th January for all those whose child is preparing for the Sacrament of Reconciliation.

Catholic TV—Eternal Word Television Network EWTN is on Sky Channel 769, or you can get it for a one off subscription and no monthly charge.  Call EWTN on 08700 636 734. The channel is great for faith formation and education, for children’s entertainment, and particularly for those who are housebound, as Mass is celebrated every day.

The Western Catholic Calendar—For 2014 is now on sale in the Piety Stall priced £3

Celebrating St Mungo Service  – 12th. January 2014 at 6.30pm at the Cathedral, High Street. The service will be enriched by dance, choral and instrumental music and young people will play a prominent part. The speaker will be Professor Tom Devine.

Maryhill Foodbank Collection continues. Please place any donations of non-perishables (tins of soup, beans, meats etc., pasta, rice, toiletries) in the containers in the porch. Many thanks.

The rosary is recited—Each weekday morning at 9.40 before Mass in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel.

Padre Pio Prayer Group - Meets in the church every Monday for one hour beginning at 7:00 p.m. All are very welcome

New Year’s Day Mass  - 10am - Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God.

ABC Unity Supper—on Wednesday 15th January in New Kilpatrick New Hall, 7.15 p.m. for 7.30 p.m. Tickets £8.00.  Call Margaret Saunders on 942 7519.

St Margaret’s Children and Family Care Society annual crib appeal is this year supplemented with the take-home small box, which you are asked to return, please, by the end of January.
