Solemnity of the Ascension of the Lord—Thursday 2nd June—a holy day of Obligation.  Masses Wednesday 1st June (Vigil 7pm), Thursday 10am and 7pm

Novena to the Holy Spirit—In preparation for Pentecost begins on Friday 3rd June.

Pentecost Sunday— 12th June.

Papal World Day of Prayer for Communications—Saturday/Sunday 4/5 June.  Special second collections to support the Church’s work with the media.

Parish Pastoral Council—Meeting on Thursday 15th June at 7 30pm at the Upper Hall.

St. Andrew’s Primary School Leavers Mass—In the church at 10am on Tuesday 21st June.

Children’s Choir—The dates for the choir this term are:
12th June
19th June.

First Communions -
29th May (10.00 a.m. and 12 noon)

Thanksgiving Service—5th June at 3.00 p.m. followed by the celebrations party in the Upper Hall.

Day for Life—Sunday 29th May.

Finance & Fabric—Committee please note meeting will be held on Thursday 16th June at 6 30pm in the presbytery. 

New Mass Texts—In preparation for the implementation of the new texts there will be a Deanery meeting in June, to advise and instruct all members of Liturgy Groups.  Details of the meeting will be available soon.

Soup Run—The next soup run is on Friday 3rd June.  All donations taken at the lower hall from 7pm.  Your continuing support is very much appreciated.  Any enquiries to Phyllis on 0141 570 1343.

Whist Drive—St. Andrew’s Whist Drive will take place on Monday 30th May at 7 30pm in the Lower Hall.  Even if you don’t know how to play but would like to learn, come along.  You will be made very welcome and we’ll help you.  It’s a social evening essentially!.  For more details phone Susan Morrison on 0141 563 7959 or 07580086381.

Parish Youth Mass and Event—Will take place on Saturday 11th June at 6pm and later in the Upper Hall.

The Mothers’ Union—A Christian organisation that supports families worldwide and is an Action Network of the Scottish Episcopal Church are keen to work with ecumenical partners in offering to organise a band of volunteers to support families of prisoners.  Opportunities are available to provide refreshments during visiting times, help with a crèche and offer advice in the visitor’s resource centre.  The new prison at Lowmoss is due to open in March 2012.  If interested contact Ann Glenesk at [email protected] or 0141 563 2140.

St Margaret of Scotland Hospice Lunch and Fashion Show—Radisson Blu Hotel Sunday 29th May 2011  Tickets £35.  Contact 0141 435 7018 or [email protected]

Christian Aid—A concert will be held in aid of Christian Aid on Sunday 5th June 2011 from 7pm to 10pm in New Kilpatrick Parish Church New Halls with Paisley Philharmonic Choir and Douglas Academy Youth Orchestra.  Tickets are £8 and are available from Irene Gillespie on 942 4486 or from Purple Edge.  More details on the poster on the notice board.
