Thanksgiving Mass for all - Sunday 5th June at 10am Mass during which all the first communicants will be presented with their First Holy Communion certificate, and invited after Mass into the hall with their families for a party.

Day for Life 31st May – A day in the Church’s year dedicated to celebrating and upholding the dignity of human life. The illustrated card for this year’s Day for Life helps us reflect on the sacredness of human life in all its dimensions. The second collection will be taken up this weekend to support the Church’s pro-life work.
Family Fun Summer BBQ - Sun, 12th June 1.30pm – 4pm in St Andrew’s Church halls and grounds. Food and Fun for all the Family! Soft drinks included …otherwise BYOB. Tickets Adults: £1 Children: 50p on sale. Organised by St Andrew’s, St Benedict’s, St Joseph’s and St Laurence’s cluster. Volunteers are required please to help with assembling tables and chairs in the grounds, checking tickets and directing people to the hall. Many thanks.

St Andrew’s Primary PTA are hosting two events this term to which the parish are invited: Ladies Charity Night on Friday 3rd June 7pm until 11.30pm in aid of school funds and The Scarlett Fund (www.scarlettfund.org.uk) in the school hall. Entry is £7, payable on the door, which includes a cocktail. There will be a raffle and other competitions to raise funds. Family Carnival Fun Day on Saturday 18th June from 1pm until 4pm in the school grounds. St. Andrew's Carpet Bowls summer outing Thurs, 16 June. Cardwell Garden Centre for morning coffee, afternoon spent in Largs, and on to Seamill Hydro for High Tea at 5pm. Laudato Si Week: Care for our Environment - To celebrate the anniversary of Laudato Si, the Global Catholic Climate Movement are launching Laudato Si Week, June 12-19, a major international celebration of the Pope’s encyclical release anniversary. The goal is to reflect on the encyclical message and take action to bring it to life. In advance of this we are asked to read the encyclical and decide how we are going to do our bit in relation to the environmental crisis. Refugee Scotland Festival: 14th-26th June - Please keep an eye out for the Refugee Scotland Festival. This is an annual Scotland-wide programme of arts, cultural, educational, heritage and sports events. The festival brings together people from refugee and local communities to celebrate the contributions refugees make to life in Scotland and the welcome offered by local people. The theme for this year's festival is solidarity. Now, more than ever, we need to stand together with people who've had to flee their homes and are now trying to build new lives here.
