"To you, O Lord, I lift up my soul."

Today is Sign Up Sunday. Come in to the upper hall after Mass. St Andrew’s parish needs you. What you have asked for in the recent consultation, help us put in place. We need volunteers for existing and new ventures, especially
New;  Youth Ministry (if you would like to be part of a Youth Ministry team, please sign up – we’re looking for parents and grandparents to help); Transport to Mass, (would be good to start this up again to help parishioners who have absolutely no-one at all to take them to Mass); Bereavement support (we envisage that this would be done in pairs visiting the bereaved in their own homes);   Social activities group ( we’re looking to form a team whose responsibility would be to organise new and coordinate existing social events and activities).
Existing; St Vincent de Paul, Piety stall, Legion of Mary and Justice and Peace to name just some. All existing groups are always looking for new people to join. Also, we urgently require the skills of a bookkeeper. Please consider, and if you can help, sign up. Without your help we cannot take everything forward.

Parish Feast Day Celebrations 10am Mass followed with Free Teas / coffees, sandwiches and feast day cakes served in the hall.  All are invited. Monsignor Ryan will celebrate Mass for the school’s feast day at 11am in St Andrew’s Primary.

We thank Mr Kerr for all his hard work, dedication and commitment during his years as our parish's primary school's head teacher. We wish him every success and happiness in his appointment as the new Head teacher of St Paul's, Whiteinch, which he takes up on 1st December. We extend a warm welcome to Mrs Charlotte Grogan, who arrives this Tuesday, and we wish her every success and happiness in her new appointment as Acting Head teacher to St Andrew's Primary.

The Year of Mercy – 8 December 2015 – 20 November 2016. Google Pope’s letter “Misericordiae Vultus” for the YoM. The letter itself does not take long to read. Pope Francis writes:  “With the Jubilee of Mercy I would like to focus on several points which I believe require attention to enable the celebration of the Holy Year to be for all believers a true moment of encounter with the mercy of God. It is indeed my wish that the Jubilee be a living experience of the closeness of the Father, whose tenderness is almost tangible, so that the faith of every believer may be strengthened and thus testimony to it be ever more effective.”

Frank Trias CP will be ordained on Sat, 12th Dec at 11am Mass in St Mungo’s, and celebrate his Mass of Thanksgiving here in St Andrew's at 10am on Sun, 13th Dec. All are invited to both Masses. Keep Frank in your prayers these weeks as he prepares for Ordination. Mass for Vocations on the Feast of St Andrew, this Monday, 30th Nov at 7pm in St Andrew’s Cathedral.
