A very warm welcome back to the NET Ministry Team  – a group of enthusiastic young people from the USA who will be leading today’s Youth Retreat for P6, P7, S1 & S2 of St Andrew’s and St Joseph’s parishes. Lunch will be provided. Youth NET Ministry day retreat - part of our Golden Jubilee Year celebrations.
 
All Saints Day – Wednesday 1st November – Holy day of Obligation – Masses – 10.00 a.m. (11.15 a.m. in St. Andrew’s School  and 7.00 p.m.

All Souls Day – Thursday 2nd November – Masses – 10a.m and 7p.m.

St Andrew’s Celebration Music and Quiz Night - Saturday 25 November
Please come along to share an evening with some of the parish’s talented musicians as we celebrate the feast of our patron, St Andrew. There will also be a chance to show off your knowledge of all things Scottish in a quiz with rounds on music, sport, geography, history and famous Scots. We are nearing the end of our Jubilee Celebrations so, even if you have not been able to attend any of the other events, please take this opportunity to come together for a light-hearted evening of fun. Tickets cost £5 to include “tea and buns”. Now on sale. This is a BYOB event.
 
We wish Deacon Nick all the very best and every happiness in his ministry as Deacon in St Joseph’s, which he begins this week.
 
Messengers Meeting – Monday 6th November – Lower Hall. All Messengers are asked to attend our Christmas Reachout meeting  - Area Leaders at 7.30 p.m. and Messengers at 8.00 p.m.
 
Golden Jubilee Photo Collage - To help us compile a collage of our 50th anniversary year, we’d like to gather photos taken during 2017 only. If you have photographs of a baptism, wedding or First Holy Communion celebrated this year, please email to [email protected] by 17th November. 
 
Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion who visit sick and housebound –next meeting - Monday 6th November at 7.00 pm in the chapel-house.
 
Bearsden Choir Concert. – Beethoven’s Mass in C + Brahms’ Schicksalslied and Geistliches Lied, on Sat 11th November at 7.30pm in St John’s Renfield Church, Beaconsfield Road (opposite Nuffield Hospital), Hyndland, Glasgow. A huge thanks to everyone who helped with last Thursday’s P6’s retreat day here in the parish. We are very thankful to Sr Bernie, Sr Gill, Sr Elizabeth and the Salesian team for leading the retreat day of faith, fun and friendship. Many thanks, too, to Mrs Grogan, the P6 teachers, parents and the members of the parish’s Youth Ministry Team for helping with the organisation and all the arrangements. A great day was enjoyed by all. We’re delighted that this retreat day has now become an annual event in our parish calendar.
 
Mass for our beloved dead takes place Sunday 12th November at 12noon. The families of those who have lost a loved one over the past year have been invited but, of course, everyone is welcome who wishes to pray for those whom they have lost. Refreshments will be served in the hall after Mass.
 
Parents Meetings – for First Confession, 11th January 2018 at 7.00 pm. For First Holy Communion, 18th January 2018 at 7.00 pm. Both meetings in the upper hall. First Holy Communion dates – Sundays 13th and 20th  May 2018 at 12.00 noon Mass.
 
Confirmation preparation meeting - Tuesday, 16th January 2018 at 7pm in St Joseph's for parents and sponsors. On the same evening and at the same time in St Joseph’s, catechists of the two parishes will gather with the P7s to lead them in preparing for Confirmation.
 
Cream Tea in All Saints church halls, Drymen Rd,4th Nov.00 to 5.00pm.All most welcome.Entry £5 including, and scones with cream.will behome baking stall and a raffle.The Ayoub sisters' CD will also be available.

Choir forGolden Jubilee Anniversary 10.30am Mass 3rd December. The usual adult choir will be singing alongside the children's choir at this mass.  Anyone who would like to sing on this occasion, please contact Annamaria Strachan for more details and to confirm their attendance. There will be 3     rehearsals on 2nd November at 7.45pm; 16th November at 6.30pm and 22nd November at 6.30pm. The Piety Stall—offers something for everyone—a variety of greeting cards for all occasions, including a range of cards for Confirmation.

Your donations to Drumchapel Foodbank will be gratefully received; non-perishable goods such as cans, rice, pasta toilet rolls, nappies etc are much needed and delivered to the Foodbank every Monday. Thank you for your help.
 
The St Andrew’s parish Christmas Fair will take place on Sunday 19th November after 10am and 12 noon Masses.This will be similar to last year’s, with a selection of charities at the event.Could parishioners who would like to host a stall please contact either Anne MacIntosh (931 5861) or Annamaria Strachan (942 9799) to confirm.All profits from the Piety Stall go to Church funds.Tea, coffee and home baking will be served at this event.
 
The Healing Power of the Sacrament of Reconciliation: Thursday 9th       November 7:00 – 8:30pm in the Upper Hall. Following the success of the talk on Reconciliation in March of this year and at the request of parishioners a second session on the sacrament of Reconciliation is planned. The session will reflect on the healing power of the Sacrament of Reconciliation.If you can, please join us for tea/coffee and a reflective and enjoyable discussion.
 
Westerton Parish’s 60th Anniversary  – An invitation to all in St Andrew’s to their Songs of Praise followed by Supper – this evening, Sunday 29th Oct at 6.30pm.
 
Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament – Each Saturday from 10.30am until 12.30pm. Please consider coming to spend some time in adoration and prayer each Saturday.
