Saturday Vigil Mass- Beginning Saturday, January 5th2019, the Saturday Vigil Mass will begin one hour earlier. For a trial period, Mass will begin at 5pm. Sacrament of Reconciliation will be 4.15pm – 4.45pm. These new times will be reviewed after six months.

To mark the centenary of the passing of the Education (Scotland) Act 1918,Professor Stephen McKinney from University of Glasgow’s School of Education will give a talk on the hundred year history of Scottish Catholic Education in the Upper Hall on Thursday 6thDecember 2018 from 7pm until 8.30pm. Tea and coffee will be served and there will be an opportunity for discussion and questions during the evening. Please come along to what will be a very informative evening.

Thank you to all those who helped in any way to make last Saturday’s St Andrew’s Music and Quiz Night such a terrific success. Many thanks to all the musicians and singers and to all who came along and supported the Night. Congratulations to all raffle and 29 Club winners, and to the winning quiz team. Also,a big thank you to Gordon for his job as the evening’s compere. Special thanks to Margaret Charrier and Veronica McLaughlin, to the members of the Youth Ministry Team and Caritas Candidates for all their excellent work looking after the Night’s organisation and all its preparations. Well done. It was a fabulous social night for the parish with a great variety of performances and entertainment. Looking forward to next year’s. The terrific sum of £1032 was raised for SAMH – such a worthy cause.

Advent Reflection and Cluster Prayer Service in St Andrew’s-Thursday 13 Dec at 7.30pm. Readings, prayer, music and candlelight - a brief, peaceful escape from the sometimes hectic world of Christmas preparations. This service will last for approximately one hour followed by light refreshments in the Upper Hall. Come on your own, with a friend, or with your family.Everyone is welcome!

Supporting Christian Families in the Holy Land – The Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem would like to thank the generosity of the parishioners of St Andrews at their recent charity Christmas card sale.
