"Nations shall walk by your light,
and kings by your shining radiance."

Wishing you all the joys of the Christmas Season and every blessing for 2022.

New Year’s Day Mass – 10am. There will be no 5pm Vigil Mass on 1st  January.

We look forward to all families, who have had a celebration of Baptism within the past year, attending the 10am Mass next Sunday 9th January either in church or on line via our YouTube channel for the Feast of the Baptism of Our Lord.  After Mass, there would normally be refreshments served in the parish hall, but it really is so unfortunate that again this year this won’t be able to happen, for obvious reasons.

NET Ministry will be returning, if circumstances permit, to our parish next month. NET are ten young Americans who are doing great youth ministry work in many schools and parishes. More details soon.

The crib in the church and the two cribs in our grounds will remain up for 40 days through to Candlemas on 2nd February.  Why not keep yours up in your home until then?  It's such a terrific visual aid and the 40 days allow us to adore the new-born Christ for longer. If you’re out for a stroll, call in for a wee prayer before our outdoor cribs.

Annual Crib Donations are vital for the running of St Margaret's as the UK's only Catholic adoption agency. St Margaret's aims to ensure that every child has the right to grow up in a safe, loving and secure family environment.

Children's Liturgy - The weekly video of the Sunday's Gospel reading will continue to be available until further notice at: https://www.rpbooks.co.uk/celebrate-following-your-faith This has been an excellent resource for parents to use while the children’s liturgy hasn't been on.
2nd Jan is Justice & Peace Sunday ~ Day Of Prayer For Peace.
Bishop Nolan’s J&P Letter on this link and also at www.justiceandpeacescotland.org.uk.
There will be a retiring collection taken up at both Masses to support the vital work of J&P

St Nicholas Care Fund.
The projects funded are in the main to help children and young people, special needs’ groups and senior citizens. St Nicholas take home collection boxes to be returned please by 16th Jan. Many thanks.

Drumchapel food bank Distribution returns to normal on January 5. Thanks to all who contributed throughout this difficult year. As well as donations of food items, which can be left in the house porch, cash donations are used by the parish to purchase regularly around £1000 of food items which are taken straight to the food bank.

Could God be calling you to serve as a priest or deacon ? Speak to the parish clergy or contact the Vocations Director, Fr. Ross Campbell, [email protected]  or 339 4315  Please, pray for vocations for our Archdiocese.

How can we develop our thinking as Catholics? Find out at the Word on Fire Institute, founded by Bishop Robert Barron. You’ll see you can access videos on his YouTube channel, which address issues ranging from moral teaching and theology to myths about the Catholic Church.

Between now and Easter, please keep in your prayers Jackie, Rebecca, Jason and Rokas, who look forward to being received into the Church at Easter.
