AGAP Film & Faith Club—Meets on Thursday 6th June at 7.00 p.m. in St. Michael’s Parkhead. This month’s film is “The Crucible” (1996, Certificate 12) starring Daniel Day-Lewis. It is about the Salem witch trials of 1692 and the post-film chat will be about the nature of “witch hunts” and mass hysteria. Free Tea/Coffee afterwards and no obligation to commit to all screenings.
AGAP—Is collaborating with Wellington Church on University Ave/Southpark Ave in a projected called “Stranger Powers of Speech” on Friday 7th June at 7.30 p.m. as part of the West End Festival. An evening of poetry inspired by wildlife with a dramatised reading of ‘The Rime of the Ancient Mariner’. Admission free. Fair trade wine and cheese provided. Donations to the World Wildlife Fund.

St. Andrew’s Foundation Glasgow University—The event has two aspects: A Mass in St. Andrew’s Cathedral at 7.00 p.m. on Friday 14th June at which Archbishop Muller will give the homily followed by a Civic Reception. The formal launch of the foundation on Saturday 14th June in the Bute Hall of the University at which Archbishop Muller will deliver the annual Cardinal Winning Lecture. Coffee Morning—After 10am Mass on Sunday 16th June. This is the last coffee morning until August so please come along and support us. This month we are raising funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care. As always, donations of home baking (no nuts please) most welcome. Thanks to those who came along to April’s coffee morning. The sum of £80 was raised for the Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice who are fundraising to set up a unit for 12-16 year olds.
