Laudato Si’ – On Care for our Common Home – The best way to restore men and women to their rightful place, putting an end to their claim to absolute dominion over the earth, is to speak once more of the figure of a Father who creates and who alone owns the world. Consultation on a Proposed Right to Palliative Care - letter from the Bishops’ Conference of Scotland is on this link.
Rosary ~ Monday to Friday 9.30a.m. and in the month of May - Sundays 4.30p.m.
With both Mrs Grogan and Ms Lennon leaving St Nicholas’ at the end of this term to take up their new roles in other schools in the region, we want to thank them both for their hard work and commitment to teaching and learning over their years in St Nicholas’. We are very grateful to them for helping forge more and more the link with both parishes, and helping the children, especially at their sacramental stages, be formed on their journeys of faith. We wish them both all the very best in their new appointments.
There is still time to respond to the consultation on a proposed Right to Palliative Care (Scotland) Bill. The proposal, put forward by Miles Briggs MSP, would introduce a private members’ bill that would establish a legal right to palliative care for everyone in Scotland who is living with terminal illness and to provide equitable access to the palliative support.
