“Kirkin o the Council” - A welcome to the members of East Dunbartonshire Council—The Councillors and Officials are gathering here at St. Andrew’s at 12 noon Mass this weekend. We pray that they may exercise their offices with wisdom and discernment and work for the Common Good of our local community. All welcome—also to the reception in the Upper Hall following Mass.

Carpet Bowls--Bowls re-start on Thursday September 6th at 1.00 p.m. in the Upper Hall. A warm welcome is extended to any new members. Please come along and join in a happy afternoon, including tea and cake.
St. Andrew’s Whist Drive--is held on the last Monday of the month in the Lower Hall at 7.30 p.m. All, including beginners, will be made very welcome. Racial Justice Sunday - is observed every year on the second Sunday of September. It is an opportunity for all Christians to focus on racial justice and to pray for an end to misunderstanding, racism, prejudice and injustice. It reminds us to celebrate the diversity of human life and experience and to recognise and value every human being as made in God‘s image.
Carmelite Spirituality and Prayer—The next meeting will be on Monday 3rd of September from 7.30-9.00pm. So, if you are a young woman, aged between 30 and 45, and would like to deepen

Installation of the new Archbishop--Deacon Thompson, Eva Feeley and Brenda Murray will represent the Parish Council and the parish community at the event.

Red Mass Announcement--The annual Red Mass, which is held to mark the beginning of the legal calendar, will take place at 11.30am on Sunday, 23 September within St. Mary’s Cathedral, Edinburgh. The Mass will be celebrated by Cardinal O’Brien with the homily given by Bishop Toal, Bishop of Argyll and the Isles. The Mass is likely to be of particular interest to those involved in or connected with the justice system in Scotland.
