Youth Mass Saturday 3rd June 6pm – this Vigil Mass, which is the beginning of our Golden Jubilee Parish Mission, is especially for the youth of the parish. We are looking for as many young people as possible to be involved in the ministries of the Mission's opening Mass e.g. as a pass keeper, server, extraordinary minister, bidding prayers, offertory or with the music. Give your names to Fr. Mackle, if you would like to be involved. Primary 7 will be arranging readers for the Mass, which will be followed by pizza in the upper hall.
Sacrament of Confirmation – A few years ago, Archbishop Tartaglia announced that the celebration of the Sacrament of Confirmation would be returning to Primary Seven. Parents whose child will be in Primary 7 in the school year August 2017 / June 2018 are invited to complete an application/enrolment form for their child for the Sacrament of Confirmation, which will be celebrated for the P7 pupils of St Andrew’s and St Joseph’s Parishes in St Joseph’s Church on the evening of 6th February 2018. Forms available in the church porch to be returned please by 28th June 2017.

Nick Pryce will take the next step toward becoming a Permanent Deacon during a special ceremony called Rite of Candidacy (final step before Ordination) at 12noon Mass on 18th June in St Andrew's, Cathedral. Nick’s Ordination will be celebrated here in St Andrew’s, Bearsden, with Mass at 6pm on Friday 8th September. Keep Nick in your prayers

Volunteers needed please - We are holding a Parish BBQ on Sunday 11th June, the last day of our Parish Mission. This will be in the grounds and upper hall after the 12oclock Mass. Dementia Awareness Campaign - Do you know someone living with Dementia or are you caring for someone with Dementia, do they have a love of Opera. Scottish Opera have created a special Dementia Friendly performance of La Boheme. The performance will be held at the Theatre Royal, Glasgow on 13th May 2017 at 3pm. Tickets £10. Padre Pio Prayer Group extend grateful thanks to all who contributed to the successful and enjoyable celebration of the 35th Anniversary of the formation of their Prayer Group. A special ‘thank you’ to David and Veronica Maguire for a most enjoyable buffet.

Kirkintilloch to Schoenstatt 5oth Anniversary 5 Mile walk next Sunday 7th May. Meet at the exit of the car park at Roman Rd at 1:15pm for the bus to Kirkintilloch. You might want to bring a packed lunch. Please ensure suitable footwear and clothing for the day. Bus will pick up at approximately 4:30pm to return to St. Andrew’s.
