Urgent Appeal - Drumchapel food bank are in real need of additional supplies. During the summer holidays, school meals are not provided so the need is even greater than usual. As well as the usual items, some treats for kids would be much appreciated. If you could leave in the porch, these are taken down each Monday. Many thanks.

Monsignor Henry, who is buried in New Kilpatrick Cemetery, Boclair Road, was parish Priest of St Andrew’s from 1978 – 1995. The contribution he made to the development of St.Andrew’s, particularly in driving forward the construction of the present church building, was immense. In this Golden Jubilee Year, and on the anniversary of his death, the rosary will be prayed at his grave for the peaceful repose of his soul and for the eternal rest of all the faithful departed. All are most welcome. Please gather at the cemetery gates at 2pm on Sunday, 6th August.

St Margaret of Scotland 5k Midnight Walk. This year the event is open to all. Starts and finishes at Great Western Retail Park. 9.30pm Saturday 2nd Sept till 2am Sunday. Mary’s Meals clothing collection. Volunteers from Mary's Meals will be here on the weekend of 16th and 17th September to collect any used clothing. A second collection will be taken up to support this important charity.

Dementia Awareness Campaign Time to put your best feet forward for our annual Memory Walk on 12th August 2017. A sponsored walk around the Milngavie Water Works in memory of a loved one, to remember someone living with Dementia and their families and raise much needed funds for Alzheimer Scotland, East Dunbartonshire An event the whole family can enjoy. Abortion Petition –the British Medical Association has sadly voted to call for the decriminalisation of abortion. To show our desire to protect innocent life SPUC have asked us to sign a petition in opposition to the campaign to extend abortion. This is available at the back of the church – please sign it and show your concern to defend those who cannot defend themselves.
