"Speak Lord, your servant is listening;
you have the message of eternal life."

Peters’ Pence—Special second collections on Saturday/Sunday 29th/30th June.

Notre Dame College Reunion—To celebrate the 40th Anniversary of graduating as teachers from Notre Dame College of Education, in 1973, a Mass at Turnbull Hall, the Glasgow Chaplaincy, followed by a lunch is being organised on Saturday the 14th September.  For further details please email:  [email protected].

Soup Run—The next soup run will be on Friday 5th July.  Donations taken at the lower hall from 7pm.  Soup, sandwiches, soft fruit, biscuits etc most welcome.  Any queries please call Phyllis 0141 570 1343.  Many thanks for the continuing support.

Message from the Archdiocese Office—The archbishop has asked me to draw your attention to the Decree from the Congregation for Divine Worship in which it is made known that the name of Saint Joseph is to be included in Eucharistic Prayers 11—1V (and not just the Roman Cannon, as is the case at present).  The Archbishop asks that this addition be introduced with immediate effect.

Catholic Youth Service Scotland—Scotland’s Rio for young people—The details of Scotland’s Rio are: Thursday 25th—Sunday 28th July 2013, Stirling University Campus, £200 per person + parish contribution of £50.  (All accommodation, meals and activities are included in the price.)  Places are still available—Contact The Youth Office 226 5898.

Welcome—To Father Richard Rwize who will be with us until August.  He will arrive on Wednesday 3rd July.  Deacon Thompson continues his “time out” that he began from the beginning of Lent.

Parish Pastoral Council—As discussed at the meeting last week we are anxious to invite and encourage more young adult parishioners to participate in the various ministries and activities/groups in the parish.  Please contact Fr. Donnelly.

Greater Maryhill Foodbank—The Parish is now organised regarding collection and delivery of donations to the Greater Maryhill Foodbank.  The Foodbank provides a three day emergency supply of food for individuals and families who find themselves in difficulties in the harsh economic climate.  Referrals are accepted from GPs, nurse and health visitors, Minsters or Priests.  If you can, we ask you to add one extra tin (meat, soup, beans, veg. etc.) or packet of dry goods (rice, pasta, dried potato mix et.) and donate it by putting it in the box at the back of the Church.  These will be taken on a weekly basis fro distribution at the foodbank.  Local individuals and families in need of this service may also be referred.  For more information please contact Phyllis on 0141 570 1343 or Maureen on 0141 942 3630
