New Year's Day: 10am
The celebrations to mark our parish’s 50th anniversary come to an end this weekend. Many thanks and congratulations to everyone who participated, attended and organised the wide variety of spiritual, social and community events. As well as the Lisbon Lions night providing extra support to the Drumchapel foodbank, throughout the year a total of £6,000 has been raised. The 50th committee members considered a range of charities and decided on four who will benefit. These are St Vincent de Paul for local needs, Unicef, St Margaret’s Hospice and Salvation Army to support victims of human trafficking. Many thanks once again to all.
As we wrap up the Golden Jubilee, I take the opportunity to say thank you to everyone.has been a great year for our parish, that’s all due to all who looked after the 50th Anniversary preparations and arrangements, and to all who participated in and attended and organised the wide variety of spiritual, social and community Golden Jubilee events. We're going to highlight features and events of the year in a Golden Jubilee photo banner, which will be going up soon outside the church door. We have celebrated well, with gratitude, 50 years of parish life and mission. We know, however, that the past twelve months have been less about looking back and more about looking to the present and to St Andrew’s future with confidence and hope. Thank you, once again, everyone. May Saint Andrew continue to intercede for us. Fr Mackle
