Every country in the world is affected by human trafficking, whether as a country of origin, transit or destination for victims. Please say a prayer and be aware of victims of human trafficking.

Interested in becoming a Catholic?– Not baptised? Baptised in another faith? RCIA will begin in the autumn. The programme of learning and instruction prepares adults for the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist. Please speak to Fr. Mackle if you would like to know more about RCIA and the Catholic faith.
It is pleasant to spend time adoring Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. The Eucharist is such a priceless treasure ~ by praying before it, we are able to make contact with Christ present in the Most Holy Sacrament. Saturdays 10am until 11am. Confessions throughout. Confessions – Also on Saturdays 4.15pm – 4.45pm & Sundays 9.15am – 9.40am
Before receiving Holy Communion, we are asked to make some preparatory act of reverence such as a bow.
Laudato Si’ - On Care for our Common Home - These (pollution and waste) problems are closely linked to a throwaway culture which affects the excluded just as it quickly reduces things to rubbish. To cite one example, most of the paper we produce is thrown away and not recycled. (#22)
Catholic Social Teaching Thought for the Week - Sunday 31st July
When money, instead of man, is at the centre of the system, when money becomes an idol, men and women are reduced to simple instruments of a social and economic system, which is characterised, better yet dominated, by profound inequalities. So we discard whatever is not useful to this logic; it is this attitude that discards children and older people, and is now affecting the young.

Do remember that our church is now open weekdays until 5pm, and on Saturdays until after the 5pm Vigil Mass. Call in and enjoy the peace and quiet, and take time to sit in the stillness in the silence of God. Teas and coffees are served in the hut after daily 10am Mass. All most welcome.

Annulment and Marriage Validation - see Fr Mackle to learn more about the process if you are divorced and remarried or never married in the Catholic Church. There is now no charge to the petitioner for marriage cases at the Tribunal.

St Nicholas School Uniform EventThank you to all our volunteers from St Nicholas’ Primary for arranging our first uniform reuse recycle event, and to the families that donated and popped in to St Andrew’s upper hall las Sunday. A follow up event is being planned for before Christmas so hold onto any items you would like to donate!

Drumchapel Foodbank. Regularly your donations are dropped off at the foodbank by our parish volunteers. Thanks for continuing to give the foodbank your support. Our soup-run volunteers continue to collect donations from M&S, Byres Rd & Milngavie for delivery to Drumchapel & St Gregory’s Foodbanks, the Wayside Club & Aspire.
