Father Donnelly’s Retirement —A big thank you to everyone who was involved, both liturgically and socially, in Fr Donnelly’s retirement presentation. Thanks to all parishioners who turned out in unprecedented numbers to wish Father well in his retirement. It was a wonderful evening for the parish, enjoyed by everyone. Fr Donnelly extends his thanks and appreciation for a wonderful evening, and he is overwhelmed by everyone’s generosity.

The rosary is recited—Each weekday morning at 9.40 before Mass in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel.

Visit Scotland for Marriage—Website and sign the marriage petition today.

The Fourth Mystery—Priestly vocations are, above all, the fruit of the prayers of the Church.  Jesus encouraged us to pray to the Lord of the Harvest to send labourers his harvest.  A good suggestion—when you pray the rosary, whether it be at home or in the church or when driving or out for a walk, dedicate the Fourth Mystery to the intercession for priestly vocations for the Archdiocese of Glasgow.

Remember the Dead—Praying for the dead, especially during the month of November, reminds us that the Church is not confined to this world, but extends into the next as well.  By praying for the dead, as we prayed for them while they were alive, we can establish a special link with the “communion of saints”.  The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered up every day during the month of November for the Holy Souls.

Could God be calling you to the Priesthood? - Evening of catechesis, Prayer and Fraternity to help discern your vocation 2nd Friday of each month at Turnbull Ha..  Contact Fr. Keenan 339 4315/ rcchaplaincy@gla.ac.uk

Messengers Meeting—Monday 4th November.  All Messengers please attend meeting in Lower Hall—~Area Leaders at 7.30pm and Messengers at 8pm.

Extra Ordinary Ministers  - Of Holy Communion, who visit the sick and housebound of the parish either in their homes or in the nursing homes. There will be a meeting at 7.30pm on Thursday, 7th November in the chapel-house. This will give Fr Mackle an opportunity to meet you all.

St. Andrew’s P.T.A.—is hosting a Quiz Night in the school hall on Friday 8th November from 7.30 p.m. until 11. p.m.  Tickets £5.00 payable on the door.  All welcome.  Contact Anne on 07866 009078 for more details.

The St. Andrew’s Parish Christmas Fair—will take place on Sunday 17th November after 10.00 a.m. and 12 noon Masses.  This will be similar to last year’s with a selection of charities at the event.  Could parishioners who would like to host a stall, please contact either Anne MacIntosh (931 5861) or Annamaria Strathan (942 9799) to confirm.  All profits from the Piety Stall go to Church funds.  Tea and coffee will be served.  Donations of home baking would be most welcome (no nuts please)  The Piety Stall has a large selection of Confirmation cards and gifts stock.

Many Thanks—To everyone who came along to last month’s coffee morning.  The sum of £70.00 was raised for Beam (Bearsden and Milngavie Talking Newspaper Association).  We received a letter from Desnee Ashley, Secretary of BEAM, thanking the Parish for the very kind donation and asking if anyone knows of a visually impaired person who would like an audio recording of the Milngavie and Bearsden Herald, to please contact Desnee on 0141 942 4231,  Beam supply a player to play it on and its all free of charge..
