After each Mass on 17th / 18th February the Legion of Mary - Mother of Mercy Praesidium will be recruiting for both active and (auxiliary prayer) members for the Legion of Mary in St Andrew's Parish. As member numbers are low at present for the important work undertaken on behalf of Fr Mackle and the parish, it would be lovely to welcome some new members to join us in our Prayer meeting in the Parish hut every Monday at 5pm, and to help with Care Home work and visits to sick and elderly housebound parishioners, as well as visits to families who have had the celebration of a baptism or First Holy Communion.
To mark the centenary of Catholic Education, all former and present pupils and families; all past and present members of teaching and support staff of John Paul Academy are invited to a Mass at 7pm on 21st February at The Immaculate Conception, 2049, Maryhill Road.

Parish Library Update. The Parish Library has been updated to include a section for children’s books and DVDs which will be expanded through the course of the year. Parishioners are encouraged to take advantage of the library and to sign books in and out using the sign out book. When returning or donating books or DVDs, please use the basket provided, rather than putting the books directly onto the book shelves. will help with the administration of the library. Thank you.
Racial Justice Sunday 2018. This year’s Racial Justice Service will take place in Cardonald Parish Church, 2155 Paisley Rd West on Sunday 11 Feb at 4 pm. This is an ecumenical service. The Liturgy is arranged by members of our Glasgow Justice and Peace Commission. Other readings will include the words of Martin Luther King on the 50th anniversary of his death and a contribution from Margo Upritchard of the Space.
