Mass for the sick and housebound of the parish – this Wednesday 7th June 2pm which will incorporate the Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick. Please draw this Mass to the attention of any family members or neighbours whom you think might like to attend. Transport will be available for those who need it.

Parish BBQ – Join us for a Golden Jubilee BBQ at 1.15pm in the grounds next Sunday 11th June. A fun-filled afternoon with games for the children and music. For catering purposes, please enter your name on the sign up sheet in the porch, if you will be coming along to the BBQ.

For the 50th Anniversary - a booklet guide for both parishioners and visitors. Along with a history of the church there is an explanation of the mosaics and emblems. Price £1. Caritas Award – Congratulations to Liam McKechnie, who will join hundreds of young people from across Scotland this Thursday 8th June at the Clyde Auditorium to be presented with the Caritas Award. The Pope Benedict XVI Caritas Award is a sign of their ongoing faith journey in response to God’s call of love. Thanksgiving Mass for First Communicants- today at 10am Mass during which all the first communicants will be presented with their First Holy Communion certificate, and invited after Mass into the hall with their families for a party.

Nick Pryce will take the next step toward becoming a Permanent Deacon during a special ceremony called Rite of Candidacy at 12noon Mass on 18th June in St Andrew's, Cathedral. All most welcome. Sacrament of Confirmation will be celebrated for P7 pupils of St Andrew’s and St Joseph’s Parishes in St Joseph’s Church on the evening of 6th February 2018. Enrolment forms available in the porch to be returned please by 28th June.

The Halls Committee is looking for new members. The halls are a valuable asset for the church and have raised over £15,000 per year for the last few years for church funds through commercial lets and private functions. Halls Committee is responsible for managing these lets together with the maintenance of the decoration of the halls, keeping consumables topped up and assisting at some Parish functions. The committee meets, on average, 4 times a year. The committee is looking for new members to help with the running of this important aspect of parish life. St Andrew’s Primary PTA Family Fun Day in the school grounds on Saturday 17th June from 1pm – 4pm. Day for Life- in the Church’s year dedicated to celebrating and upholding the dignity of human life. The illustrated card for this year’s Day for Life helps us reflect on the sacredness of human life.
