First Confessions for last year’s P3 this year’s P4 continue and the next time for them is next Saturday 10th October. Call in anytime between 10am until 11am. No need to book.
First Confessions for the current P3s will be during the Season of Lent 2021, and the intended dates for First Communions for the current P4s will be after Easter next year.
The First Holy Communion Masses will take place on November 1, 8 and 15 at 2pm.
Current P7 candidates for Confirmation. The archdiocese is proposing that we wait to see if the Covid-19 virus can be suppressed sufficiently to allow a condensed but more or less normal programme of Confirmation later in the 2020-21 session.
St Andrew’s and St Joseph’s are making arrangements for the Celebration of the Sacrament of Confirmation for last year’s P7 this year’s S1 pupils to take place is each parish church sometime before Christmas, and all families will soon be advised.
A Video of First Confession rehearsal has been sent out to all families. A First Communion instructional video will be sent out soon to all this year’s P5 families.
First Confession / First Holy Communion & Confirmation - As I am sure you will appreciate, these liturgies will be very different from what we are normally used to, but they will be no less special occasions of celebration for the boys and girls. We keep them all in our prayers. Remember, face coverings will need to be worn for all these occasions.
First Friday in October liturgy is available now online via our website for the classes in St Nicholas’ and indeed for anyone.

Drumchapel Foodbank - Thanks to all of our Parishioners who are donating food and toiletries to our collection point in the Chapel House porch to be delivered to Drumchapel Food Bank. Regularly your donations are dropped off at the foodbank by our parish volunteers. Thanks for continuing to help.
Our parish’s soup-run’s volunteers continue to collect food donations form M&S Byres Road for delivery to Drumchapel and St Gregory’s Foodbanks and the Wayside Club.
With our piety stall remaining closed, we are offering individual cards for posting, or collection from the chapel house porch. We have a full range of cards for almost every occasion, all £1 or 40p each. P&P is £1 per order (up to 4 cards) or free if collected from the chapel house porch. Email Annamaria ([email protected]) to place an order. Payment is by bank transfer or cheque.
