Although the Year of St Joseph draws to a close this Wednesday, 8th December, our sleeping St Joseph statue will remain in the grounds. You can write out a petition and place it under the statue. Let St Joseph ‘sleep on it’.
Carol Singing - St Andrew’s and St Joseph’s invite you to a Carol Singing Advent Reflection Evening on Friday 17th December at 7pm in St Andrew’s, followed by festive treats in the hall. All welcome (children must be accompanied by an adult). There will be a raffle, and any prize donations would be welcome.
We look forward to welcoming as many parishioners and their families and friends as possible to our Christmas Masses. The Christmas Vigil will be at 5pm, Midnight Mass will be early at 9pm and Christmas Day Masses will be at 10am (live streamed) and 12noon.
Primary Three First Confession Parents’ Meeting - 13th January 2022 at 7pm in St Andrew’s Hall. First Confessions will be on Saturdays 12th & 19th March 10am – 11am. A date will be allocated to each family.
Primary Four First Holy Communion Parents’ Meeting 20th January 2022 at 7pm in St Andrew’s Hall. First Holy Communion Masses will be on 14th, 15th, 21st and 22nd May at 2pm. A date will be allocated to each family.
Primary Seven Confirmation Parents’ Meeting – Thursday 3rd February 2022 at 7pm in St Andrew’s Hall. Confirmation Masses will be on 4th & 5th June at 2pm. A date will be allocated to each family.
Remember in your prayers Jacqueline, Rebecca, Jason and Rokas, who are journeying through RCIA. At the 10am Mass next Sunday there is the Rite of Acceptance, which involves special prayers for them as part of the RCIA journey.
Advent Appeal for Christmas Gifts this weekend –Gift wrapped parcels or gift bag should be left in a box in the church porch before or after each Mass. Please make clear whether the gift is for male or female.
Please include all the items below:
A hand written Christmas card, small selection box or pack of chocolates, hat, gloves, scarf, socks, underwear, shampoo, shower gel, deodorant, toothpaste and toothbrush. If ladies gifts can also include sanitary products that would be appreciated.
Soup run volunteers will deliver all donations to the Wayside and Aspire for distribution to homeless in Glasgow.

Pope Francis has asked the whole Church to be involved in and journey together towards the General Assembly of Bishops in 2023. The focus of the Assembly will be, “For a synodal Church: Communion, Participation and Mission”. Keep your eye on our bulletin and social media for details of arrangements of St Andrew's engaging in this journey.

Drumchapel Foodbank. Regularly your donations are dropped off at the foodbank by our parish volunteers. Thanks for continuing to give the foodbank your support. Our soup-run volunteers continue to collect donations from M&S Byres Rd & Milngavie for delivery to Drumchapel & St Gregory’s Foodbanks, the Wayside Club & Aspire.
