Jam-packed with exciting talks, workshops, activities, Mass with the Archbishop, social and food - in Blessed John Duns Scotus Church, Ballater Street, G5 0YT, (just a ten minute walk from Glasgow City Centre) 2-5pm – first one is next Sunday 12th February. Catholic Education Week 12th – 19th February. Theme “Developing as a Community of Faith and Learning”. News, information and good resources for teachers, parents and students at www.sces.org.uk. Pick up a copy of SCES Newsletter featuring news of recent and forthcoming developments in education. There’s also a special message from Archbishop Tartaglia. St Andrew’s Primary and Turnbull High will be attending and taking part in the 10am Mass on 19th Feb. Pick up also from the porch copies of the schools’ newsletters. Come in and enjoy tea, coffee and cakes afterwards.
To mark the start of Catholic Education Week, and to begin to look forward to the Sacrament of Confirmation, P6 classes in all the primary schools in the deanery will gather for 10.30am Mass with the Archbishop in Our Holy Redeemer’s this Friday. Families are most welcome to attend.
A big thank you goes out to all the members of St Andrew’s Primary School's PPTA and to all those in St Andrew's parish who organised, generously volunteered and gave of their time to help make last Saturday's Golden Jubilee Burns Supper Family Ceilidh celebration such a huge success. With over 160 tickets sold, the hall was packed and a good time was had by all. A very big thank you to all who attended.
Our very sincere thanks to St Andrew’s Primary PPTA and the families of St Andrew’s school for their very generous gift of £100, which will help us purchase a new bench for the Golden Jubilee garden, which we are delighted the school’s Eco group are looking after with regular visits.

For Primary 3 Families - Preparation for First Confession All P3 children and their parents, (grandparents also, if they wish) are asked to attend an important preparation meeting on Thursday 23rd February 7pm-9pm in the Upper Hall, which will be led by the Salesian Sisters and their team.

Extraordinary Ministers Meeting – this Thurs, 9th Feb at 7pm in the Upper Hall. Format - half hour meeting in the hall informally discussing any issues and suggestions, followed by a Eucharistic Service in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel lasting about 20 minutes. Tea and coffee will be served during our meeting.

We’re still looking for more artists and aspiring artists to create a piece of art (tapestry, installation, photograph, pottery etc.) for our St Andrew’s 50th Anniversary Jubilee Art Exhibition. The theme is ‘Come and See – the life and work of St. Andrew and St. Andrew`s Church’. Your work could focus on history of the life of St. Andrew, architectural features of the Church, Parish activities, etc. All artwork should be handed in at the Sacristy no later than Palm Sunday, 9th April 2017.
