Youth Mass—The next youth mass will be Saturday 26th February. Further details to follow.

Sacrament of Baptism—Two months notice is required to allow preparation for Baptism. Please contact Fr. Donnelly to make arrangements. Please note that the next Baptism Preparation Session for parents and godparents of children being baptised will be on Sunday 20th February from 11.30 to 14.30 at St. Andrew’s Church (Lower Hall). There will be a 30 minute break during the session so you may wish to bring a packed lunch. Tea will be provided.

Sixties/Seventies Disco--In Upper Hall on Saturday 19th February, 7 30—11 30pm in aid of White Lily Fund (Cancer research). Dancing, bar, raffle, quiz, Roll-a-Pound. Tickets £12 include Fish/Chip Supper. Contact Lorna Donnelly on 942 0696 or Margaret Carvill on 942 6284

The Papal Visit--DVD’s celebrating the memorable occasion are on sale at the Piety Stall price £9 99.

Child Protection and Adults at Risk within St. Andrew’s Parish--Training session for all volunteers at St. Joseph’s Parish Hall, Milngavie on Saturday 19th February 2011 10am to 12noon. Please be sure to return reply slips to Michael McGovern, our parish coordinator, no later than 11th February.

Christian Meditation--An Ecumenical Event. Friday 25th March at 7 30pm in Partick South Church, Dumbarton Road, Glasgow. Fr. Laurence Freeman OSB will give a talk on Who am I? The first step … How meditation leads to self-knowledge and a more caring world. This will be followed by a 20 minute meditation period and then a time for questions. After the formal part of the evening, there will be the opportunity to meet people over tea and coffee.

Homelessness Sunday--Thanks to those who joined us for a “cup of tea” to help the homeless last Sunday. A cheque for £115 has been sent to Scottish Churches Housing Action.Bishops’ Conference of Scotland Mass for Health Care Workers--At Our Lady of Lourdes, Cardonald on Sunday 27th February at 3pm. for all members of the medical and nursing professions and all health workers—an annual opportunity to express their vocational solidarity and to recommit themselves to the service of the sick
