Interested in becoming a Catholic? RCIA, the programme of catechesis and instruction, which prepares adults for the Sacraments, will begin after summer. Please speak to Fr. Mackle, if you would like to know more about RCIA and the Catholic faith.

The internet radio station radioalba.org podcasts daily with a 30-minute cycle of prayer and music beginning at 8.00am and continuing until 11.30am. The programme includes parish Morning Prayer, schools Morning Prayer and a short Music Choice program. The station is developing other sets of Morning Prayer particularly looking towards the Commonwealth Games. A short service for those who are ill and another for those who have lost a loved one are also in the pipeline.

Commonwealth Games - We are still looking for a few parishioners to represent St Andrew’s at a unique event to explore and celebrate the interweaving of sport, disability and faith. Fr Mackle : I wish to express my very sincere thanks to the parish, and in particular to all those who made the preparations for last Thursday morning’s Mass of Thanksgiving and reception in the hall to mark the occasion of my 25th anniversary of my ordination to the priesthood. Thank you to all those who came along to join in the Mass. I deeply appreciate your being there. I am very grateful for all the cards, good wishes and assurances of prayers, and I am overwhelmed by everyone’s generosity.
