Ash Wednesday—10th February.  
· Blessings and Distribution of Ashes at Mass at 10am and 7pm. 
· Ashes can be collected from the sacristy for any housebound parishioners.
· Ash Wednesday is a day of fast and abstinence.
· Short Term Pledge for Lent (Pioneer Association) - See notice in porch. 
· Stations of the Cross – Fridays in Lent at 7pm.
· Rosary daily at 9.40am.
· Divine Mercy chaplet prayers after daily Mass.
· Lentfest 2016 events programme available in the porch.

SCIAF Wee Box – available in the porch.
 
Year of Mercy cluster Mass (for St Andrew's, St Benedict's, St Joseph's and St Laurence's) will be held in St Benedict's on Thursday, 3rd March at 7pm. Refreshments will be served after Mass in Oliver's. All most welcome. We are hoping for a good turnout. Please note that there will be no 10am Mass in St Andrew's on the 3rd March. There is a sign-up sheet on the noticeboard for those who will require transport and for those who can offer transport.

Baptism Preparation Course - 3rd March at 7pm in the Upper Hall. Parents and godparents are expected to attend. Please note, the dates of future baptism courses are 2nd June, 1st September & 1st December.

Sacrament of Reconciliation – Times for First Confession for Primary Three. During The Season of Lent (10th Feb – 27th March).  Saturdays 10.30am – 11.00am; & 5.15pm – 5.45pm; Sundays 9.15 – 9.40am. Family members are encouraged too to take the opportunity to go to the Sacrament of Reconciliation.

No parking please on the double yellow lines in the grounds. It is important that there is a clear path for emergency vehicles should they need access to the church, hall or house. Also, with the new changes to waste collection, it is important that there is a clear path for the bin lorry on Fridays and Saturdays before noon. Many thanks.
 
Year of Mercy Lenten Reflections - the first of two will be led by Canon Robert Hill in the Upper Hall at 7:00pm this Thursday 11th February. Tea and coffee will be served and there will be an opportunity for questions and discussion afterwards. Part of our parish's Adult Faith Formation programme.

Padre Pio Group – on 8 Feb novena at 7pm followed by Holy Mass at 7.30pm. Many thanks to the Padre Pio Group for their very generous donation of £150 towards the upkeep of the church.

Annual St Margaret of Scotland Hospice Celtic Ceilidh Dinner and Dance - Friday, March 11 at 7pm. Sponsored and hosted by Òran Mór. There will be a sparkling reception to welcome guests, followed by a delicious three-course meal and a lively Ceilidh. Please join us for a fabulous night of superb food, Celtic music and dancing. Tickets (£35) for the Dinner and Ceilidh are available individually or in tables of up to 12 guests. A limited amount of Ceilidh-only tickets (£10) are available for entry after 10pm. 40 Days for Life: What are you doing for Lent 2016? Can you consider taking part in 40 Days for Life – a Christian Profile Campaign to raise awareness about the crisis of abortion in our country. It has three parts:- 1 Prayer & Fasting. 2 Peaceful Vigil. 3 Community support. This campaign is not looking for financial aid but is looking for a personal public prayer witness.
