RCIA & Easter Vigil - Karen Borland, Mark Sullivan and John McDermott will become members of St Andrew’s during next weekend’s Easter Vigil. Karen, Mark and John, who are all baptised, will be sealed with the Holy Spirit in Confirmation and receive First Eucharist. Please keep them in your prayers.
Easter Vigil – 7.30pm on Saturday 15th April. If you have never been to an Easter Vigil Liturgy before, it is well worth attending. Weather permitting, it will begin with the blessing of the Easter fire in the grounds behind the hall. Refreshments will be served in the hall afterwards. Please do make an effort to come along. Please note, there will be no vigil Mass at 6pm on the 15th April.
The Feast of Divine Mercy Sunday will be celebrated in St. Patrick’s Church, Strathleven Place, Dumbarton on Sunday 23rd April 2017. Celebrant Father Felix Adiele. 2.30.p.m. Procession and blessing of Divine Mercy Image, Confessions, Chaplet and Litany. 3.p.m. Mass with veneration of Divine Mercy Image.
Kirkintilloch to Schoenstatt 5oth Anniversary walk Sunday 7th May. Meet at the car park at St Andrew’s leaving for walk at 1:15pm by bus to Kirkintilloch. Bus will drop off at the start of the walk along the old Strathkelvin railway. Distance is approximately 5 miles on a good path suitable for buggies and prams. Drinks and snacks will be available to all at Schoenstatt. Please ensure suitable footwear and clothing for the day. Bus will pick up at approximately 4:30pm to return to St. Andrew’s church. There is a sign-up sheet for those interested at the back of the church.

Nightfever – for young people. You are warmly invited to take a short time out of your busy pre-exams studying and enjoy a calm hour of reflection with adoration of the Blessed Sacrament in candlelight and uplifting music on Sunday 23rd April 7.00 – 8.00 pm. There will be refreshments afterwards. For young people of the parishes of the cluster.
St Andrew’s Parish Golden Jubilee Celebrations in conjunction with The Lisbon Lions 50th Anniversary. Friday 12th May, 7.30pm – 10.30pm in the upper hall. A Family celebration. Evening’s Compere, Lisbon Lion and former St Andrew’s parishioner, Mr Jim Craig, with quiz and screening of highlights of the 1967 match. Tickets £10 includes Fish Supper. (BYOB) Tickets on sale soon.
Big Clean for Easter: In preparation for Easter, the church will be cleaned on Wednesday 12th April after 10am Mass. We are looking for as many volunteers as possible (men as well as women) to come along and help with this task.
As well as the Nightfever in St Andrew’s of 23rd April, there is an evening for Peace, Meditation and Prayer at exam time in St Joseph’s – Friday 28th April 7pm. For young people of the parishes of the cluster.
