Remember in your prayers--Pamela Edmiston, Gabija Lazaraviciute, Joakim Landstroem, Stephen Miller and David Quinn who are all journeying through RCIA. Today Sunday at the 10.00am Mass is the Rite of Acceptance, which involves special prayers for them as part of the RCIA process.
 
Saturday Vigil Mass- Beginning Saturday, January 5th 2019, the Saturday Vigil Mass will begin one hour earlier. For a trial period, Mass will begin at 5pm. Sacrament of Reconciliation will be 4.15pm – 4.45pm. These new times will be reviewed after six months.
 
St Andrew’s Day Celebrations– a sincere word of thanks to all those who looked after the preparations and the serving on the day at the reception after Mass.

Advent Day of Confessions in St Andrew’s Cathedral- 7.45am  until 5.45p.m.  on Thursday 20th Dec. This may be handy for you if you are in the city centre for work or shopping.
 
Save the date - NET Team returning to St Andrew’s on 27thJan 2019. It was great the whole NET team visiting us for the 12noon Mass last weekend. 

Festive Teas and Coffees -Sunday 16th December.
 
Please join us for mince pies and tea/coffee/mulled wine in Upper Hall. This is the last coffee morning of this year so, please join us if you can.month we will be raising funds for the St Nicholas Care Fund. When you give to the St Nicholas Care Fund, you give collectively to so many different kinds of good causes. Many more than you would be able to help individually. Your support:-Changes lives of children living in poverty; helps parents bring up their families; helps families to stay together by supporting grandparents as Kinship Carers.We take this opportunity to thank you all for your continued support and generosity and to wish you all, the compliments of the season. The P4-P7 Children’s Liturgyare looking for some young helpers.If you are doing the Duke of Edinburgh Awards or the Caritas Award you will receive credit towards your award or if you would like to just volunteer your help would be greatly appreciated. Advent Cluster Candlelit Reflection  St Joseph’s invites St Andrew’s and St Benedict’s parishioners  to an Advent evening of music and reflection in St Joseph’s on Tues11th Dec at 7.30 pm. - followed by mulled wine and mince pies in the hall.‌
 
Advent Reflection and Cluster Prayer Service in St Andrew’s-Thursday 13th  Dec at 7.30pm. Readings, prayer, music and candlelight - a brief, peaceful escape from the sometimes hectic world of Christmas preparations. This service will last for approximately one hour followed by light refreshments in the Upper Hall. Come on your own, with a friend, or with your family.Everyone is welcome!
 
Bearsden Bank Changes - Standing Order--Many thanks to our recent request for parishioner consideration in changing personal plate offerings to standing  order. Nightfever –for all young people of St Andrew’s and St Joseph’s. you are warmly invited to take a short time out and enjoy a calm hour of reflection with adoration of the Blessed Sacrament in candlelight and uplifting music this evening, Sunday, 6-7pm. Safeguarding Code of Conduct.  All volunteers within St Andrew’s including those who do not require PVG, please collect from the sacristy your copy. A copy is displayed on the noticebaords  in the church and hall  next to the Safeguarding poster.
 
Vocations Discernment Evenings:  Archdiocese of Glasgow Vocations are holding discernment evenings of catechesis, adoration and fellowship at Turnbull Hall, Southpark Terrace G12 8LG. Christmas Reachout is being delivered to around 1300 homes in the parish during the coming weeks. If you normally don’t receive Reachout, and  would like a copy, please email [email protected]. It is also available on this link.This year, a Christmas card will be delivered to around some 600 new homes in Bearsden.  Sometime next year, a Welcome Card will be delivered to all new homes.

Daily Mass is celebrated in St Andrew’s Monday to Saturday at 10am. All are most welcome.  Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament is every Saturday from after 10am Mass until 12.30pm  
 
St Margaret’s Adoption Society: We are currently looking to recruit prospective adopters. Drumchapel Foodbankis always grateful for food donations received. In the weeks running up to Christmas, there has been a request particularly for donations of tinned meals. Collection boxes in the porch are taken to the foodbank every Monday.

Church Cleaning Team –We still need a few more volunteers please to complete a 4 week rota. Would you be free for an hour and a half on a weekday afternoon once a month to help with church cleaning? If so, speak to Father Mackle.Thank you.
