Silver Jubilee Celebrations—Congratulation to Fr. Stephen Hannah, celebrating the Silver Jubilee of his Ordination. He invites any of the St. Andrew's Parishioners who wish to attend Mass at the Holy Family and St. Nanina's Kirkintilloch, followed by a B.B.Q. on Thursday, 20th June at 7.00 p.m. If you intend to take part, please enter your name on the sheet at the church porch notice board. First Communicants Thanksgiving Service & Celebration Party—at the church and the Upper Hall on Sunday 9th June at 3.00 p.m.
St. Andrew’s Foundation Glasgow University—The event has two aspects: A Mass in St. Andrew’s Cathedral at 7.00 p.m. on Friday 14th June at which Archbishop Muller will give the homily followed by a Civic Reception. The formal launch of the foundation on Saturday 14th June in the Bute Hall of the University at which Archbishop Muller will deliver the annual Cardinal Winning Lecture. (Please note that the event in the university although free requires advance on line registration.) See notice in the porch of the church.
Coffee Morning—After 10am Mass on Sunday 16th June. This is the last coffee morning until August so please come along and support us. This month we are raising funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care. As always, donations of home baking (no nuts please) most welcome. Thanks to those who came along to April’s coffee morning. The sum of £80 was raised for the Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice who are fundraising to set up a unit for 12-16 year olds.
Notre Dame College Reunion—To celebrate the 40th Anniversary of graduating as teachers from Notre Dame College of Education, in 1973, a Mass at Turnbull Hall, the Glasgow Chaplaincy, followed by a lunch, is being organised on Saturday 14th of September. St. Andrew’s Primary P.T.A.—Would like to thank everyone who came along and supported the Ladies Night on 17th May and also to those who couldn’t manage but bought raffle tickets. We are thrilled to announce you helped raise a phenomenal £2,032.65 which will be shared equally between school funds and The SAMs Club.
Mary’s Meals—Please convey our thanks to everyone who helped in the Mary’s Meals Appeal and Rags to Riches collection at St. Andrew's Church on Sunday 26th May 29013. It was very successful. Your parishioners contributed 192 bags and a cheque for £2,406.— Excellent. We are grateful for their efforts. We very much appreciate the kindness of your parishioners who gave so generously to the collection and we hope that sometime in the future we may return to your parish.
