Our 40 Hours Adoration, next Sunday, is a wonderful opportunity to pray and spend time in the Real Presence of Jesus, quietly giving Him thanks, asking His help and listening to Him speaking. The simple act of adoration deepens our friendship with Jesus. St. Pope John Paul II said, 'The Church and the world have a great need for Eucharistic worship. Jesus awaits us in this sacrament of love. Let us not refuse the time to go to meet Him in adoration and in contemplation full of faith'.

Catholic Social Teaching Thought for the Week - Sunday 3rd March God loves all men and women on earth and gives them the hope of a new era, an era of peace. His love, fully revealed in the Incarnate Son, is the foundation of universal peace. When welcomed in the depths of the human heart, this love reconciles people with God and with themselves, renews human relationships and stirs that desire for brotherhood capable of banishing the temptation of violence and war.
Pope Saint John Paul II, Message for World Day of Peace, 1 January 2000

Laudato Si’ – On Care for our Common Home – Although it is true that we Christians have at times incorrectly interpreted the Scriptures, nowadays we must forcefully reject the notion that our being created in God’s image and given dominion over the earth justifies absolute domination over other creatures. (#67)
