We pray for the peaceful repose of the soul of Mary Murphy whose private funeral Mass will take place today, Tuesday 10th September, at 12 noon here in St Andrew’s. The Mass will be live streamed. Once again, our deepest and most prayerful sympathies to Mary’s family. We pray, too, for the peaceful repose of the soul of Grace Jackson who died yesterday. A private funeral Mass is being arranged. Our deepest and most prayerful sympathies to Ricky and Maureen and their family. On this the feast of the Birthday of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we seek the intercession of Our Lady and pray that Mary and Grace may be led to the enduring joys of heaven.

I wanted to thank St Andrew's volunteers once again for your support throughout lock-down, and to let you know how many families have benefited from our emergency fund.
Thank you very much for all the help collecting and delivering hot food. We would not have been able to reach so many families without this. When everything returns back to 'normal', it would be great to have you all over to the community centre for a cup of coffee (and cake!) and also see a session that we offer. Thanks and take care, Sarah-Jane Communications & Fundraising Officer 3D Drumchapel, Drumchapel Community Centre, http://3ddrumchapel.org.uk "The Wild Goose" for 18-30 year olds.
14 sessions to explore relationship with the Person of the Holy Spirit. It will be based upon a series of engaging videos created by Fr. Dave Pivonka, TOR, President of Franciscan University, Steubenville. This is a great opportunity for young adults to meet others who desire to grow in faith, whilst exploring how the Holy Spirit is at work in the Church and in their lives. https://www.facebook.com/316564101586/posts/10157411272376587/?extid=SpE6mg8NeCWGwMrt&d=n. ‘DISCIPLESHIP’, a 4-week online group for 16-21 year olds. "We need to go forth from our own communities and be bold enough to go to the existential outskirts that need to feel the closeness of God. He abandons no one, and he always shows his unfailing tenderness and mercy; this, therefore, is what we need to take to all people." Pope Francis, Message to Pilgrims gathered at the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe, 16 November 2013 |
