Christmas 2020

Hope this finds you safe and well.

These are often called strange times. It’s been strange these months booking to go to Mass.

One of the things that will make this Christmas that bit different and strange is having to book a seat to go to Mass at Christmas.

From all the replies you kindly sent in re our Planning for Christmas, over 400 people have said they would like to attend Mass at Christmas.

We have, therefore, arranged to have some extra Masses, which should accommodate 500 people.

Times of Christmas Masses at St Andrew's are:

Christmas Eve:  Vigil Masses:   4.00pm & 5.30pm
Christmas Day: 8.30am, 10am and 12.00 noon

Our 10am Mass Christmas Day Mass will be live streamed on our YouTube channel.

Please book through the Mass booking system.

As the number of places at Mass continues to be severely restricted, if you are unable to reserve a space at one of the Christmas Masses, please do consider attending an alternative Mass during the Christmas Season – or after the rush is over!     Many thanks.

We'll announce soon times for Confessions for Christmas.

There's a lot happening this Advent - this Saturday's appeal for children's winter clothing. Drop off between 12 and 3 in the car park. Next Saturday's advent appeal for gifts for homeless people - see our social media for details - drop off between 12 and 3.

Our appeal for donations for Drumchapel Foodbank continues, especially in the run up to Christmas - you can drop off donations anytime in the house porch.

We'll announce very soon our rethink for our advent youth evening. Plus, look out for our daily Journey through Advent starting this Sunday.

We're working on setting up an outdoor crib next to the tree,  plus look out for our Carol Singing video, which we'll put out on our YouTube channel, and it'll help deliver some much needed Christmas cheer, I'm sure.

Best wishes and keep well.
