Hope all’s well.
Yesterday’s April showers over and looking like we’re back to some sunshine today.
Back, too, today to a few words on Acts of the Apostles.
Paul’s great Damascus experience, his conversion. Today’s first reading.
As Saul, he was a fierce persecutor of Christians.
In his Damascus experience, Saul, after he fell to the ground, heard the voice of Jesus saying, “Why are you persecuting me?”
Remember, this is well after the death and resurrection of Jesus. Saul had never seen Jesus before his death on the cross.
What we’re being reminded of is the truth that Jesus truly lives in his followers.
Saul in persecuting christians was persecuting Christ. Why are you persecuting me, Jesus says.
The truth that we are being called to appreciate is that Christ does live in his followers. He lives in you. He lives in me.
What a terrific conversion was Saul’s.
The very man who persecuted Christians, in his letter to the Romans says, ‘The spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you’
The same power that raised Jesus from the dead lives in you today.
Just a reminder, if you’ve got a May altar at home, why not take a photo of it and send it in and our online team will get it posted.

Have a good day.
Take care
