Hope all’s well.
Recently, Pope Francis in a ghostly quiet and rainy St Peter’s Square urged us not to be afaid and have faith in the face of this storm, this global pandemic storm.
He spoke encouraging us and saying to us that in the midst of the storm our faith must continue, our trust in God must continue.
The truth that we are being asked to appreciate in any of the gospel storm scenes (today’s gospel is one of them) is that God is with us. In moments of darkness, of suffering, or of trial, God is with us.
The storms in life, whatever they might be, grief, illness, broken relationship, remind us very much of our need for God and need for each other.
I’ll be taking a wee break tomorrow. Monsignor has kindly offered to give a short video reflection on tomorrow’s Emmaus gospel story.
So I’m now off to do my camera and lights for him.
Have a good day. Here’s hoping we’ll get more of this lovely April sunshine.
Take care
