The focus of the Assembly will be, “For a synodal Church: Communion, Participation and Mission”.
As we are still without an Archbishop, the Diocesan Administrator, Monsignor Bradley, now invites parishes in the archdiocese of Glasgow to consider hosting synod meetings to consider these three topics.
Our parish will therefore be looking at making arrangements so that you can think about what important things you need to say.
Feedback from our parish will be fed into a Deanery Synodal meeting, which will help collate a Diocesan response.
Some of our Scottish Bishops will gather in Rome for a Synod (meeting) in 2023 to listen to what you are saying about our journeying together. Following this, Pope Francis will write to the whole Church reflecting what has been discerned from this process.
The Synodal process is a journey of the whole Church, listening to the Holy Spirit in every baptized voice in the Church’s family.
Keep your eye on our bulletin and social media for details of arrangements of St Andrew's engaging in this journey.
