A few words...
Hope all’s well.
When we recite the confiteor, we say, ‘and you my brothers and sisters’. It’s a lovely reminder to us that we are family.
As disciples of Christ, we are family - I got all my sisters and brothers and me - to alter the song’s lyrics slightly.
As brothers and sisters, as family, we are called to do the will of God. That’s today’s gospel message.
At Mass, when we pray the Lord’s Prayer, the Our Father, our family prayer, we pray ‘Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven’. We’re praying to do God’s will in our lives, to live as sisters and brothers, to live as the family of God.
