Hope all’s well.
So, we continue to journey through this week with these little exercises to feel and touch God, in some way, through the senses.
Today, focus on, reflect on hearing, listening.
A couple of lines from sacred scripture.
Isaiah 55:3. ‘Listen now, my people, and come to me; come to me and you will have life’
1 Samuel 3:9 ‘Speak, Lord, your servant is listening’
Again, find a quiet corner somewhere. Maybe grab a coffee and sit in the garden - you might need your brolly though today ☂️. Be calm. Enter the silence of your inner being. Listen to the sounds around you. Now listen to the sounds within yourself. What do you hear?
Remember St Augustine’s words, ‘Why climb the mountains or go into the valleys of the world for Him who dwells within us?’
Remember, the church will be open tomorrow Wednesday from 12noon until 3pm if you wish to pop in for a quiet prayer. Remember, too, and bring your face covering.
If you are popping in for a visit, you’re asked not to stay for too long, please. This will ensure that as many people as possible can use the limited time and space, and because shorter visits reduce virus risk. Maybe 15-minutes max.
As parishes have been asked to obtain a list of those who come to church in case the NHS needs contact details if someone who has attended church should become ill, the parish stewards will ask you for your contact details.
Tomorrow’s sense to reflect on will be Feel / Touch
Hope you have a good day
Take care
