Hope all’s well.
I don’t think I’ve ever said these words so much in all my life as I have these past few weeks - Stay Safe.
I think most of us now would finish off a conversation, text, email etc with Stay Safe or Take Care or Keep Well. At the end of each news bulletin, the newscaster usually says, stay safe. Please, God, we will.
The good shepherd image continues throughout the readings this week.
What shepherds want their sheep to do most of all is to stay safe.
That’s the shepherd’s job - to look after the sheep, make sure they eat well, that they don’t get in to any danger. That they stay safe.
The Lord’s my shepherd. Really believe that today. Take it to heart. He is yours and mine. Our shepherd.
He wants us to stay safe at all times. He wants us to follow. He is leading the way. Trust him. He wants us to listen to his voice, especially in silence and solitude. And there’s more time for these than usual in lockdown.
Take care
Stay safe.
Hope you have a lovely day
