Message from Veronica Maguire
Hi, hope you are all well.
David, my husband, is looking for volunteers to collect surplus food from the local supermarkets. This is normally done between 6pm and 9pm and can be stored in a car overnight and then would need to be delivered to our restaurant at 1051 GWR, 1051 Great Western Rd, G12 0XP, the next morning.
David’s team would then organise its distribution to the various food banks and homeless accommodation, later that day,(you would not be involved in this).
Our aim is to set up a rota and have enough volunteers so that you would only have to do this once a week, at most.
It’s urgent that we set this up as soon as possible, so if you are able to help out, please contact me Veronica Maguire on 07884468212, in the first instance, indicating your availability and I will pass that on to David’s coordinator.
This might be ideal for anyone’s son/daughter who can drive and who is at a loose end.
Please share with friends/family who may be interested.
